TEDx: What the World Needs: Finding Meaning Through a Bridge Year

I gave a TED talk upon returning home after spending eight months in Bahia, Brazil as a Global Citizen Year Fellow. I lived with a family, apprenticed with a youth cultural center, and co-developed Girls With Cameras, a photography and leadership project that empowers marginalized Afro-Brazilian women and girls through digital storytelling.
